Boca Ciega

By Itziar Leemans

“Boca Ciega” paints the portrait of Thomas Henriot, an atypical and radical painter, married to Antoine, a young Cuban exile in France pursuing a career as an opera singer.
For over ten years, Henriot has been working in the streets of Havana.
As his works take shape, the stories that inhabit them gradually emerge.
We are drawn into the intimacy of a Cuban family — the raw material that fuels his art.
For him, painting is the only possible way to exist in the world.
